Brusho Crystals and Watercolouring

Updated: Nov 25, 2020

Hello everyone, today I'm sharing with you a card which I made using watercolours and the 'Game On' stamp set.

So first off, I created the watercolour background for the card. On watercolour paper, I sweeped a generous amount of water on the card leaving the edges dry. Using Brusho Crystal Colours (these are amazing, btw!) I sprinkled a very *very* small amount across the wet areas. These crystals are very concentrated, so a little will go a long way. I used a waterpainter over the wet areas to create a more even and softer background.

You can choose to let this air dry or dry it with the heat tool.

When the paper was thoroughly dry, I used the "Wink of Stella" to flick some ink onto the watercoloured area and let it dry. I then stamped the image of the chess pieces and sentiment from the "Game On" stamp set. Just a note, if you have a stamparatus, use it - becasuse due to the uneveness of the paper it makes it easier if you need to restamp the image.

I used scissors to create a distressed edge to the watercolour paper before using the foam dimensionals to adhere the paper onto a white card base. Last but not least, I embelished the card with purple flat-backed rhinestones.

If you want to have a go at creating a card similar to this, I have a list of items which I have used. Feel free to add what you need into your cart and happy crafting!
