So today was my little one’s last day of school for this year. The teachers have been wonderfully patient and kind with helping her to settle in after the long break we look during the first lockdown.
So this card which I am sharing with you was specially created for them. It combines various pieces of the Trimming the Town designer paper. The funny part about it is that one of the characters from the DSP had a spot on resemblance to one of the teachers - it’s the curly-wurly hair! The houses were perfect to create a building that looked similar to the nursery.
I fixed the first DP layer onto a card base measuring 6x6. The second layer was sponged with Night of Navy ink to create a lighter circle in the centre. I speckled it with some Wink of Stella (done by flicking the brush end against the lid).
I then added the house and tree elements and embellished the trees to look like Christmas trees. The Star embellishments were super cute I couldn’t resist using them for this project.
The inside of the card was the funky part. I used a 3D fun fold to make some more houses pop up when the card was opened.
