Happy Saturday everyone
I’m sharing my card for the TGIF colour challenge: Blushing Bride, Flirty Flamingo and Pool Party.
To make this card:
I used the 3 colours to create a very light water colour background on fluid 100 watercolour paper. When this was dry I spritzed the paper with rubbing alcohol which was mixed with some rose-gold shimmer paint - this created a subtle shimmer on the paper.
When this was completely dry, I used the Brilliant Wings Dies to die cut the butterfly.
For the layers:
I embossed the Flirty Flamingo layer with the Painted Texture embossing folder. I lightly swabbed the surface with Versamark and embossed with rose-gold embossing powder to break up the colour.
The laser cut layer is from the Forever Greenery suite - I used a sponge dauber and blushing bride ink on the white side to colour it.
For the Pool Party layer: I sponged this layer with some Pool Party ink and roughened up the edges with scissors. I lightly brushed the edges with a Versamark ink pad and heat embossed the edges with rose gold embossing powder. I used the Wink of Stella to add some droplets out the middle of the card piece.
For the sentiment:
Using the Pretty Perennials stamp set: I stamped “Happy” and “Birthday” into Flirty Flamingo with Versamark and heat embossed with rose gold embossing powder. I fussy-cut “Happy” and adhered it with Stampin’ dimensionals.
The centre of the butterfly was adhered with glue and the wings were popped up with the dimensionals and then “Birthday” was adhered on top of the butterfly with dimensionals.
