Balmy Blue, Highland Heather and Smoky Slate Colour Challenge

Today, I’m sharing a card inspired by the TGIF colour challenge: Balmy Blue, Smoky Slate and Highland Heather.

Balmy Blue and Highland Heather are one of my favourite colour combinations. I created a watercolour background with these two inks, a scrap of window sheet and a water spritzer. I left a few spots of white on the watercolour paper for some extra texture.

Next I used Versamark and Silver Embossing Powder to emboss the background flowers from the “Fancy Phrases” stamp set. The silver embossing is quite subtle but when it catches the light looks beautiful. It was difficult to catch that in the photos.

I added the embossed sentiment on a white card which was stamped with smaller flowers using Smoky Slate ink and embellished the card with the Balmy Blue gems.

Thank you for taking the time to check out my blog, I hope I’ve inspired (or at least entertained) you to do something Crafty. If you’re in the UK and looking for a demonstrator, I’d love to welcome you to join my team.
